It's not the most pleasant thing to do, but it has to be done if you're going to learn from your mistakes and move on to better things. As wise old Rafiki said in The Lion King, 'The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it.'
Go through the reasons for your past break-ups and try and find common factors in all your relationship history. Also try and figure out whether there were warning signs you could have heeded.
Imagine yourself in your ex's head and you'll start to understand his behaviour and what he was thinking.
Time heals your wounds, but reflection and action will heal your past hurt and prevent the same thing from happening again. It's not enough just to make a list: there has to be a moment when you face up to your past mistakes and bad habits and use your negative experiences to help you move on to better things.
